Saugeen River

The Saugeen is truly amazing. It’s beauty will take your breath away. Fall colours are absolutely amazing along this stretch of wilderness.

We offer walk and wade, drift boat and kayak fishing adventures on the Saugeen River. The Saugeen spans 160 km across southern Ontario before dumping into Lake Huron. The stretches of Saugeen River which we focus on start just 2.5 hours from the GTA.
We need as much notice as possible when planning successful Saugeen River Fishing Adventures for our guests.

During the spring, anglers can target Steelhead from shore, or from our NRS Drift boat. The Saugeen River has the largest steelhead migration in Ontario! Your guides can guide you to these acrobatic Lake Huron steelhead using both conventional and center pin reel styles.

June 1st Musky season opens and we can begin to target musky from the NRS Drifboat. We can target musky all summer, but fall tours are most productive.

Musky fishing requires a lot of effort and some experience, but the rewards are out of this world. Catching a large fish like this from the drift boat in the wilderness is an experience that cannot be matched. For those anglers looking for the most hardcore fishing adventure available….. This is it.

Smallmouth Bass fishing is also excellent on the Saugeen. We can target Smallmouth Bass from opening day (June 24th 2017), into the fall. The NRS Driftboat or river fishing kayaks are both options for guided bass adventures.
